healthy vegan friday #60

Thank goodness it’s Friday! While the weekend will be busy I desperately need to recharge my batteries after this week. I’m sure all of you in Toronto will sympathize with me when I tell you I work in TIFF central and so it’s been absolutely chaotic this week. I hope one of these days I can actually appreciate TIFF for what it is instead of dragging my heels home each evening of it exhausted and cursing it ;)

Oh and it's Friday the 13th, so let's all be careful, k?

Yayyyy Friday! I’m so excited for this weekend since it’s the Vegetarian Food Festival here in Toronto! Even though I work most of the weekend, I am managing to squeeze in volunteering for one booth and have designated another evening to perusing the offerings. This is my SCENE guys, so excited!

Here are this weeks Instagram shots…

Happy Friday! Hope everyone had a wonderful week. Mine was a little more work than play this time around, but I am just pushing to next weekend. Managed to get the whole long weekend off and I will certainly need it. Because then comes our busiest time of the year at work- Toronto International Film Festival AND I start back at school. Needless to say I will be enjoying the next comparatively quiet week!

As usual here are some Instagram shots from my week.

Vegan ice cream from Hibiscus in Kensington Market. I have been spending a ton of time in this area recently- totally speaking to my hippie side! My lovely friend and I tried 4 flavours- Almond Mocha, Masala Chai, Green Tea and Black Sesame. So good! We also got gluten-free crepes but sadly the pictures of those weren’t so pretty.

Happy Friday everyone! This week has been whirlwind and so fun- filled to the brim with good food and friends! Unfortunately, most of that good food was eaten out. Hoping to get back to real cooking this coming week.

Here’s a couple Instagram shots from the week…

Took this shot in a park in the middle of the city. I love finding little bits of calm in the midst of all the hustle and bustle.

A couple shots from a delicious meal at Hogtown Vegan- a fantastic vegan restaurant. It is by no means healthy, but damn it’s delicious. Every now and then you need that, right? This was their vegan poutine (mushroom and beer gravy with Daiya) and Southern Combo (vegan chickn’, mac n’ cheese and sautéed collard greens). Pure comfort food.
